R&D

At Blender design we create a deep research process which includes marketing thinking, creativity and originality. We define our customers and their needs, production technologies, HR, branding and costs. The information we gather enables us as designers to adapt the visual language to our target audience, to improve usability and to differentiate your product from competitors.

STEP 2

Sketches

Sketches: Designing of different concepts is the most creative part in the development process. On this stage you’ll be able to experience the settings that were created during the R&D process. This stage includes the development of at least 5-10 different design concepts which provide the customer a wide spectrum set of possibilities that express the directions to characterize the product. The costumer receives 3D digital sketches which based on measures, mechanic solutions.

STEP 3

Mechanical design

Blender engineers have long experience in developing mechanical concepts for various products together with all Designers to secure an effective execution in developing the product ID. We use our knowledge and experience in various areas of product engineering as Plastics, Electronic, Manufacturing, Metal, Elastomers, Mechanics, Electromechanics, Pneumatics and Hydraulics to ensure that the final product will preserve the spirit of the design, while the engineering team takes care of the mechanical constraints.

In this stage we focus on:- Production technologies- Mass production optimization- Providing advanced mechanical solutions- Cooperating with the client’s team- Quality Control.

STEP 4

Prototyping

After choosing a design we go deeper!
A prototype is an early sample, model or release of a product built to test a concept, process or as a product to be replicated or learned from.
It is a term used in a variety of contexts, including design and electronics. A prototype is generally used to evaluate a new design to enhance precision by system analysts and usersIn a design workflow model we create a prototype as the step between the formalization and the evaluation of an idea.

STEP 5

Manufacturing

While design is essential for making a product marketable, it alone do not guarantee success.  Careful consideration of production in the initial stage is crucial because a sizeable percentage of the product’s lifecycle cost is committed at this time (cost of materials, production of parts, and assembly).it is very important to integrate design and industrialization into a single process, with the goal of designing a product that is easily and economically manufactured.

At the end of the process we provide a file that contains: Drawings of the product in all the relevant sides including dimensions, materials, textures, colors, strength, etc. This file enables us to approach several suppliers (in Israel or abroad) in order to receive quotations for the mass production of the product.

STEP 6

Production

Poduction is the finish line of the whole process! Blender provides manufacturing services in Israel and abroad, while managing and supervising the production process in order to ensure the quality of the product and schedules. We also provide product management services for customers who want to manufacture with their sub-suppliers.
